I like old science fiction movies with crazy stuff in them like giant airplanes, telescopes that can see across the galaxy, ray-guns, looming skyscrapers and eighteen-lane highways. There is something gloriously optimistic in such films. Not to mention sleek, slivery and beautifully deco. Optimism, I think, is underrated. I'd like to bring it back into vogue, especially if it comes with a flying saucer.
